Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the Lord will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won’t become weary. They will walk and won’t grow tired.
Isaiah 40:31 (GW)
They will soar on wings like eagles...
Eagles are known to be able to soar at heights of 10,000 feet above the ground.
The perspective is much different at this height.
When we wait on God, He will strengthen us to be able to rise above any situation.
At the correct altitude, seated with Him in high places; we can view any situation from heaven's perspective.
They will run and won't become weary...
There will be times that God will cause us to make rapid moves.
We may need to run in order to get where we need to be.
In these situations, we can't afford the cost of weariness.
The strength we receive by waiting on God, will guard us from physical or mental exhaustion during swift transitions.
They will walk and won't grow tired...
Endurance is key to finishing.
Sometimes we will be required to walk the distance.
Waiting on God will equip us to finish.
His strength will prevent us from becoming tired and drained while we are walking out our destiny.
If we wait, we will receive the necessary strength to respond properly to whatever life brings.
When God calls us to rise above a situation, we will have to strength necessary to handle the altitude, and soar.
When God is moving quickly, we will have the strength necessary to run.
When God is working a process in us, we will have the strength to walk through it, until the end.
The promise of the renewed strength of God is in the wait.
We must wait in great expectation for his direction.
If we move on our own, we move in our own strength.
The only promise in our strength, is that it will eventually fail.
Let us make the choice to wait on God and receive His strength.
With His strength we cannot fail.
With His strength we will soar.
With His strength we will run.
With His strength we will walk.
With His strength we will finish.....if we wait.
For Reflection:
Am I currently operating in God's strength or my own?
Am I willing to choose to wait on God and receive His strength?
